Technology
Powered by the sun.
A solar-electric drive designed to work quietly in the background.
The loudest sound on board is the water.
Electric motors make no fumes and almost no noise. Conversations carry on at normal volume, and you can hear the sea around you.
How the drive works
From the sun to the propellers.

Deliberately simple
“For us, the most important aspect of the technology is that it works quietly in the background.”
Dr. Stephan Kress, CTO and Co-Founder
The system runs on a robust 48 V low-voltage architecture and is modular by design. As batteries, solar panels and motors keep improving, a SAMAR can be upgraded with them, so the boat gets better with age.
A day in the sun
Every sunny day adds to your range.
Leave her at the berth from Monday to Friday, and on Saturday you come back to a full battery: enough for around eight hours of silent cruising. Ask us for the full table of consumption figures.
The details
Details that make the difference.
Optimised with CFD
The hull is refined with computational fluid dynamics for low resistance at cruising speed.
Custom 3D-printed
Designed for each SAMAR model and 3D-printed, instead of taken from stock.
Made for the drive
Custom gearboxes matched to our electric motors and propellers.
48 V low voltage
A low-voltage system that is safe on board and simple to service.
